Hassan Raiz Riyaz has been chosen as the best all-rounder of Hithadhoo School for the academic year 2014.
At the Prize Day 2014 ceremony of Hithadhoo School held last night، the shield and prizes were given to Raiz by the chief guest of the ceremony، Chanceller of Maldives National University، Mohamed Latheef.
Speaking at last night’s ceremony، Chancellor noted the importance of fulfilling social responsibilities along with education.
At last night’s ceremony، students who were in the National Top 10، school Top 10، province test Top 10 holders، students who achieved golden places in extra curricular activities and also students who achieved excellence in academic and disciplinary aspects were also awarded.
“I call out to all those working in the education sector to find out the reason behind students scoring lower grades in Dhivehi and Islam and ways to correct this”، said Dr. Asiyath Mohamed Didi، principal of Hithadhoo School، speaking at last night’s ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony، Raiz said that it is important for every student to study with a set goal in mind. Hence، working towards a certain goal is an open gateway towards success.
Last night’s ceremony was also attended by Mayor of Adu City Council، Abdulla Sodiq، and Commander of MNDF Southern Area، Colonel Abdul Raheem Abdul Hassan as well.
