A delegation from the Maldives Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has participated in the “Seminar on Anti-Corruption for Officials of Maldives 2019” being held in China.
The seminar, which is being held in Qingdao City, China began on Tuesday and is to proceed for a period of 20 days.
The delegation consists of 20 members and the first session of the seminar was joined by the President of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, Diao Jiandong, who had addressed the close relations between Maldives and China that both countries have enjoyed for many years.
An initiative of the Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, China Embassy and the country’s Ministry of Commerce, all expenses for the seminar are covered by the Chinese government.
The objective of the seminar is to teach the Maldives delegation the tactics used to tackle the practice of corruption and also to enlighten them about the culture and traditions of China.
