Asian Development Bank, ADB’s President Takehiko Nakao arrives in the Maldives on a two day visit.
Upon arrival at Velana International Airport, ADB’s President was officially welcomed to Maldives by Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer, who is also the Ambassador designate from Maldives to ADB.
According to ADB this is the first visit by President Takehiko to Maldives. No further details of the visit has been disclosed so far.
ADB is an institute which renders major support to Maldives in different fields. Last June alone, ADB provided a $10 million in aid to Maldives to establish electronic system to monitor import exports to the Maldives.
