Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) opened its fourth branch in the island of Kulhudhuffushi in Haa Dhaalu atoll last Thursday.
An official of the only Islamic bank in the Maldives stated that the newly opened branch offers all the services provided by MIB, including ATMs.
“The new branch will also provide all services to enterprises and civilians under Islamic laws. Those include current, savings and investment accounts and providing financial aid to businesses.”
This is the first branch of MIB in the north of the archipelago. MIB had opened two new branches this year– one in the island of Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll early this year and the second in capital Male’s reclaimed suburb of Hulhumale.
MIB also currently operate seven ATMs in Male and the atolls.
