Program to Familiarize Ihavandhoo Business Owners with Tobacco Control Regulations

The first shipment of large boulders required for the Milandhoo Harbour upgrade project has been delivered to the island by MTCC.
This project was initiated by the Maldivian government in 2021 and was awarded to MTCC on November 8th of that year.
The scope of this project includes the construction of a 954.43-meter revetment and 114.56 meters of groynes.
The project, which is being overseen by the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure, saw the project team dispatched to the island on May 7, 2022, to commence work.
While the Milandhoo Harbour upgrade work is ongoing, the President, during a meeting with the residents on the island on October 14, 2025, stated that the current harbour in Sh. Milandhoo will be relocated and a new harbour will be constructed within the next 30 months.
