Islamic Minister Dr.Ziyad Baaqir have said that the Islamic Fair organized by Islamic Ministry, will be held at a regional level next year.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of this year’s fair, Dr.Ziyad said that various countries conduct Islamic Fairs to promote Islamic Values and principles.
Dr.Ziyad said that previously the Islamic Fair in Maldives was organized by Islamic Ministry and only displays the works of Islamic Ministry, but this year’s fair was organized in association with many other NGOs.He said that in this year’s fair the work done by these NGOs will be shown as well.
Dr.Ziyad said that this shows how much of a priority is Islam to President Yameen. He said that more Maldivians are now aware about the religion. He further said that visitors to the fairs can get a lot of information about Islam and Islamic history in the Maldives and abroad.
