The Long Service Allowance of Maldives Police Service (MPS) which was stopped by the administration of former President Mohamed Nasheed had been reportedly resumed by the current Government.
Though the allowance has been resumed since January this year، several Police said they still haven’t received it.
Former President Nasheed stopped giving the allowance due to the economic recession of the country at the time.
Long Service Allowance is eligible for the officers who served 10 years in the Police Service. The officers will receive the long service allowance based on their salaries and the duration of their service term in Police.
No statement has been released by the Police regarding the matter yet.
