The defence Minister، Major General Rtd. Moosa Ali Jaleel’s name has been sent to People’s Majlis committee for evaluation and approval.
The case was submitted in the Majlis Committee on the Oversight of the Government for the committee evaluation and consent during today’s sitting of the parliament.
Major General Rtd. Moosa Ali Jaleel sworn in as the Minister of Defence and National Security on 20 January 2015، in front of the President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
The ex-army leader was appointed the Defence Minister following the dismissal of Colonel Rtd. Mohamed Nazim.
Moosa Ali Jaleel was the High Commissioner of Maldives in Pakistan before he was appointed the Defence Minister.
