Court performance improves in first sixth months of year

The court performance over the first six months of this year has improved compared to the pervious year, as shown by the case management report.
The report published by Department of Judicial Administration said that in the first six months of 2016, lower courts completed 9.4 percent more cases than 2015. The number of incomplete cases had decreased by 15 percent in 2016 compared to 2015. Among these the number of cases over a year amounted to 32.3 percent of the cases in 2015, but this number had been reduced by 16 percent in 2016.
84 percent of cases were completed within a year.
Civil Court performance in 2016 had improved compared to 2015, with registered cases increasing by 45.6 percent. In the sixth months, the Court had completed 36.1 percent of cases filed. Similarly, the cases languishing in Civil Court had dropped by 4.5 percent.
