People’s Majlis Member of Kendhoo Constituency، Uz. Ali Hussain has stated that it is wrong to decide that someone or a group is incompetent when a Law has been amended.
MP Ali Hussain told Vaguthu that it is an unfair decision to conclude two Judges of the Supreme Court Bench as incompetent following the passing of the Amendment to Judicature Act.
He further stated the decision of JSC as “extreme point of unfairness” for concluding the incompetent of Chief Justice Ahmed Faiz and Judge Mu’thasim Adnan without giving them a chance to defend themseves.
“It is a right embedded by the Law to give a chance to defend himself، even if the person is a major criminal. It is the extreme point of unfairness for not giving that right to the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court Judge of this country. There is no offence bigger than that.” MP Ali Hussain said.
