Former Speaker of Parliament and current MP of Henveyru Uthuru Abdulla Shahid and Jumhooree Party Leader and current MP of Maamigili Gasim Ibrahim have also received death threats from an unlisted number. 
In a tweet on Sunday، Shahid says that he received a death threat and that the government is unable to provide protection as mandated in the constitution.

Shahid also received the same message received by other members. Loosely translated the message says، “We will kill you if you are acting that way”.

The same message was also received by Galolhu Dhekunu MP Ahmed Mahloof of PPM and Maafannu Uthuru MP Imthiyaz Fahumy of MDP.

On Saturday، the same message was sent to Galolhu Uthuru MP Eva Abdulla، Mahchahgolhi Uthuru MP Mariya Ahmed Didi and Addu Meedhoo MP Rozeyna Adam، the three members of Parliament representing MDP.
Rozeyna tweeted on Saturday that she received another message from an unlisted number، in regards to the death threat.
