A deadly accident at Maradhoo، Addu City last night ended tragically as the accident had claimed the life of a youth.
The accident took place at Maradhoo، near local shop named “Aulaa” situated at the main road of the island. According to authorities a speeding bike had collided with a parked pick-up truck around 00:20hrs at the said location resulting in the accident.
The deceased road-accident victim is identified as Ali Nizar، 30، Alibukhaireege، Hithadhoo، he passed away around 01:10hrs last night while he was being treated for the wounds and injuries he sustained due to the accident.
Police reports that Nizar had sustained several degrees of injuries on various parts of his body including his face and body، while the bike that Nizar was riding had been damaged beyond repair.
Police authorities are currently investigating the accident case to assess the reason for the deadly impact.
