The Coastguard are searching for a young man who went missing on Monday, after he went snorkeling off the west park area in Male’ city.
According to Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), Safwan Rasheed, 24, M. Boiling Fish, Male’, ventured out on a solo snorkeling trip at approximately 11:00 am.
He was reported missing after he failed to return, at approximately 04:36 pm.
MNDF’s Male’ Area Coastguard squadron’s divers have been deployed to search for the missing man.
