Supreme Court has scheduled a second a hearing of the connotational case submitted by President Yameen to annul the election.
Today’s hearing started at 1:00 pm and went on for 3 hours. Tomorrow’s hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am.
President Yameen requested the Supreme Court to order an investigation on allegations made by him. Many are saying that if such an investigation is started, it will never end and that the president wants to use the investigation an excuse to stay in power without an election.
Two judges were arrested in February 9th alleging that they took bribes. However, the Criminal Court invalidated the charges against them and it has been proven that, the cases were baseless.
