Criminal Court has thrown out the case filed regarding the detention of Qasim Ibrahim.
Hisaan Hussein of Qasim’s legal team said that they filed a case since Qasim is an MP and Qasim was arrested without following the procedures required when arresting parliament members. Hisaan said that the criminal court informed that the case cannot be registered since they have already appealed the case at the High Court.
Qasim’s lawyers said that since Qasim’s was arrested unlawfully, they will do everything within the means of the law to appeal the case. Qasim was arrested on 6th April and then remanded into police custody on 7th April.
