President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced he intends to run for re-election in the upcoming 2023 presidential elections.
He made the announcement in response to a question by a reporter at a press conference on Wednesday evening.
It marks the first official confirmation by President Solih that he intends to run for a second term.
