Police have arrested two teenagers, including a 15-year-old boy, in connection to the gang violence which took place at the junction of Majeedhee Magu and Janavaree Magu in Male’ City on Monday, May 2, as Maldives marked Eid al-Fitr. 
Police announced the arrests in a statement on Thursday. 
Police identified the suspects as Hassan Ziyan Ibrahim, 18, Unimaage, GDh. Vaadhoo, and a 15-year-old. 
Police said that Ziyan, when presented before the Criminal Court for his remand hearing, was remanded in custody of the police the conclusion of the investigation. 
Meanwhile, the 15-year-old was remanded in custody of police for seven days. 
Meanwhile, seven more suspects wanted by police in connection to the case remain at large. They are:

Looth Ahmed Asif, 18, M. Lonumidhilige, K. Male’

Ahmed Nazih, 27, Kenereege, GA. Gemanafushi
Munad Jaufar, 20, Naadhee, S. Hulhudhoo
Ahmed Sathiu, 21, Coral, S. Maradhoo
The Maldivian capital has been hit with a string of gang attacks. Two took place in Male’ on May 2, and two more took place in Hulhumale’ on Wednesday, and in Male’ on early Thursday. 
The cases are under investigation by the Serious and Organized Crime Department.
