The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Maldives, His Excellency Lukmon Bobokalonzoda, presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held this morning at the President's Office.
The Ambassador was escorted to the President’s Office from Republic Square in a cultural procession, “Haiykolhu," with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.
Following the presentation of credentials, the President and the Ambassador committed to strengthening bilateral relations through cooperation in education, health care, tourism, trade, and investments.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Tajikistan were established on October 6, 1993.
