WAMCO’s chairman Ali Khalid have said that Education Ministry and WAMCO have sent 30 tonnes of paper to be recycled which will save 500 trees.
Speaking at a ceremony held to sign an MOU between WAMCO and Education ministry to recycle used papers from schools, Ali Khalid said that the problems in the society can be solved when we are able to practice what we learn from school, out in the society. He also highlighted the importance of working together as a society.
Ali Khalid further said that Maldivian schools are usually free of waste and are very clean.
Ali Khalid said that however the streets are not clean and he said that the reason for this is because some of us are not able to practice what they learn from school, out in the society.
In addition, he said that if everyone loves cleanliness, then there won’t be any rubbish on the streets and the streets will be cleaner.
