The case of alleged attempt by Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon to bribe fellow parliamentarians has been sent to Prosecutor General’s Office.
An official from PG’s Office confirmed the case is currently under review by the office.
Faris was taken into police custody in connection with the case on July 18.
The police have searched Faris’ residence and seized CCTV footage from the residence for investigation into the case. The authority has not confirmed whether they found any evidence or not.
