Visit Maldives successfully concludes the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2021 along with 58 industry partners.
Furthermore, the travel and trade fair was held from 01 to 03 November. The WTM London is one of the most leading global events in the travel industry that provides a networking platform for industry professionals to meet and conduct business arrangements.
This marks the first time the event has been held as a hybrid event, while the physical fair is taking place after a year’s break owing to Covid-19 pandemic at the UK.
Moreover, Visit Maldives reports that a total of 102 representatives from 58 Maldivian origin companies participated in the event.
Visit Maldives along with industry partners took part in the travel and trade fair to connect and network with industry stakeholders, travel and trade partners from the UK market and around the globe.
At the WTM London 2021, Visit Maldives and partners conducted one-on-one meetings both in-person and virtually. Additionally, individual products and properties of the Maldives tourism industry were promoted at the fair.
In addition to this, the Managing Director and CEO of MMPRC, Mr. Thoyyib Mohamed, Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom and Executive Director of Sun Siyam Resorts, Ms. Zuley Manik held press conferences as well.
Following the conclusion of the three-day event, Visit Maldives organized a roadshow in the UK to promote MICE tourism opportunities available in the Maldives.
