ADK hospital on Friday revealed that Majilis Speaker and Former President Mohamed Nasheed had undergone multiple successful surgeries so far that he required one more essential procedure.
Around 2030hrs on Thursday, an explosion took place near Nasheed's residence as he was getting in his car. Four more people were injured in this attack, according to the Police.
Regarding Nasheed's health, ADK has said that he had sustained multiple injuries when he was brought in to the hospital. They had also stated he was being treated by a multi specialty team and that his vitals were stable.

The hospital has been giving regular updates on the Maldives National Democratic Party's (MDP) leader's condition since he was brought in for treatment.
Authorities have branded this a terrorist attack and are working to investigate this matter.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said during a broadcast in the early hours of Friday that a team from Australian Federal Police will be arriving in Maldives on Saturday. This team will assist in the ongoing investigation.
