BML Community Fund supports development of Nadella Eco Park

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Saturday, announced the successful completion of an Eco Park in Nadella, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll under 'Aharenge Bank' Community Fund.
The project, conducted by the Nadella Island Development Society (NIDS) at the island's mangrove region, was intended to increase public awareness and encourage visitors to experience the natural beauty of the area while supporting preservation efforts.
The eco park is designed with a viewing platform and equipped with solar lighting, seating areas and waste bins.
The Nadella island council will manage and oversee maintenance work for the Eco Park.
"We thank all the volunteers of NIDS and the people of Nadella who supported this project. On behalf of NIDS and the community of Nadella, we sincerely thank Bank of Maldives for funding this project", stated NIDS, remarking on the project.
Introduced in 2019, Community Fund is a program intended to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.
Overall, BML has now provided funding for projects in 40 islands across the country.
