Nasheed's case back in Hulhumale Court
The Prosecutor General’s (PG) office re-filed the case at the Hulhumale Magistrate Court following an appeal at the High Court which annulled the Hulhumale Court’s decision to reject the case citing that it cannot hold the trial due to confines of the court’s jurisdiction. An official from the PG Office said that the case had been re-filed at the Hulhumale Court sometime in the afternoon today and the Hulhumale Court has confirmed that it has accepted the case. Besides former President Nasheed, former Defence Minister Tholhath Ibrahim Kaleyfaanu, former Chief of Defence Force Moosa Ali Jaleel, Brigadier Ibrahim Mohamed Didi and Colonel Ahmed Ziyad are all charged of the unconstitutional arrest of an innocent person under Article 81 of the Penal Code.
