Protests initiated following former President Mohamed Nasheed’s arrest have resulted in a number of arrests being made.
According to reports، so far a total of 7 individuals have been arrested by Police officials during the confrontations.

Police media official speaking to “Vaguthu” stated the 7 individuals arrested were all who interrupted Police officers from performing their duty and they refused to the consent of police orders.
Authorities also stated that among the arrested individuals a woman and a minor is included as well.
Meanwhile MDP-JP supporters have initiated protests and the hordes have resorted to violence، resulting in confrontations، an SO Police officer had sustained injury on his forehead during an intervention with the mob.
