Hulhumale’ waste disposal site has been hit with incineration.
According to reports، the fire broke out sometime during dawn، today.
MNDF’s Information Officer Adnan Mohamed confirms that MNDF’s Fire & Rescue department officials were dispatched at the site to control and contain the fire، which they have been thus far successful in achieving.
“Fire caught on the waste، and it had spread out on a large area but we have been successful in controlling it، however Fire & Rescue team are still trying to fully extinguish the fire” he said.
In addition to this، reports confirm that no one was harmed because of the fire since Hulhumale’ waste disposal site is situated away from residence zones.
