President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom arrived back in Malé this evening upon conclusion of his official visit to some islands in South Nilandhe Atoll.
During his visit the President commemorated Kudahuvadhoo Island’s road development project completion, land reclamation project and the successful relocation of Vaanee Island residents to Kudahuvadhoo. Also, the President commemorated the completion of land reclamation in Meedhoo Island and visited Maaen’boodhoo Island and Ban’didhoo Island and officially inaugurated its harbours.
Accompanying President Yameen for this visit were Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Leader of Maldives Development Alliance and Member of Parliament for Meedhoo constituency, Mr. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Parliament member of Fonadhoo constituency, Mr. Abdul Raheem Abdullah and Parliament member of Kudahuvadhoo constituency, Mr. Ahmed Amir.
