Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Parliamentary Group Leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) has stated that a clear solution from the negotiations between the Government and the opposition can only be gained from multi-party negotiations.
He made the statements speaking a press conference held by the national movement.
Ibu stated that issues on agenda for the negotiations are relevant to the parties and include major issues such as injustice.
Adhaalath Party (AP) Secretary General Iyad Hameed stated that it was surprising the Government was holding negotiations separately and that this was a sign of the insincerity of the Government.
MDP, JP and AP had submitted a list with their negotiators for the Government, following the call for negotiations.
The Government had stated that no negotiations can be held with MDP President Mohamed Nasheed and AP President Sheikh Imran as they both are in detention.
Results can be brought only from multi-party negotiations: Ibu
