Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has said that the benefits of setting an age limit for Presidential candidates will be known once the matter is discussed within the party.
Former President Gayoom made this remark in a press briefing held yesterday before his departure to India.
Former President made this remark when asked whether he agree with the opposition in their claims that there is no benefit to the youth to set an age limit for Presidential candidates but the minimum age should be reduced to 35 years.
“I can comment only after discussing the issue within the party,” he said.
