Galolhu dhekunu constituency MP, Ahmed Mahloof has called all people to come out to the streets to do their part to stop the government oppression.
Mahloof said that the Police are using their power and attacking protestors without any mercy. He said that they have been even using stun guns and rubber bullets against protestors.
He said that the Mayday protest is an important national protest. He said that the protest is in need of the cooperation of all citizenry to achieve success.
The Police are using stun guns, tear gas and pepper spray to disperse the thousands of protestors.
Some of the media reports that the Police also tried to force some worshippers out from Bandaara Mosque.
