Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon stated further works will be carried in order to cement the ties and relationship between Maldives and Turkey.
Minister Dunya made the statement while giving her speech at a special ceremony held at Turkish naval-ship TSG Jediz which had harbored at Maldives Ports Limited’s dock-side. She added that while Maldives is commemorating the 50th independence day، a visit from Turkish military’s naval-ship is a noteworthy act.
Foreign Minister had asserted of the long running relationship between Maldives and Turkey، while she had hinted of a possible visit to Turkey in a near future.
The turkish naval ship had docked at Maldives harbor sometime today، it had docked at 15 other harbors across various countries before making its way to Maldives.
Tonight’s ceremony was participated by Education Minister Dr. Aaishath Shihaama as well as Chief of Defense Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam as well.
