Former Youth Minister Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal has revoked his membership from ruling PPM party.
He made the statement via Twitter، stating that he will be leaving Progressive Party of Maldives following the passing of amendment to Constitution to grant foreigners the permission to purchase land. Strongly hinting he oppose the notion.

Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal was removed from the designation of Youth and Sports Minister back in 20th May، this year.
However government had not commented on the decision and the reason behind the sacking of Maleeh Jamaal from his held designation. Former Youth Minister Maleeh Jamaal was appointed to the designation back in 21st November 2013.
He was a prime member and supporter during President Yameen’s presidential campaign back in 2013.
