A 31 year-old male has been arrested in Baa atoll Eydhfushi with 11 cellophane wrapped substances suspected to be drugs.
The 31 year=old was arrested on last night around 2254 hours upon arrival to Eydhafushi from a boat departed from Baa atoll Dharavandhoo. His arrest was made in an operation conducted by Eydhfushi Police Station، following information received of drug smuggling، informed the Police.
The drugs were found in a cigarette box in the man’s pockets when the Police brought him under custody and checked him.  The drugs were found on back pocket of the jeans he was wearing.
When the man’s urine was tested، he came positive to drugs.
The arrested man was arrested previously four times following drug-related cases.
 
Police is further probing the case.
