President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has departed on an official visit to Japan today.
During his visit, the President will hold discussions with His Majesty Emperor Akihito, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and other senior Ministers of the Japanese Government on further improving and expanding relations between Maldives and Japan.
President Yameen is also scheduled to meet with business leaders and potential investors with a view of further expanding economic opportunities for Maldives in Japan.
