The Male’ City Council announced on Thursday that all public services by the office are now available under one roof.
The city council had previously been providing services out of nine different buildings located across Male’.
But in a statement on Thursday, the council said that all its services, including land and building, vital registration, procurement, human resources, admin, council bureau, finance and road management, are now available under one roof, from the Male’ City Hall located on Boduthakurufaanu Magu.

“This is a huge stride in the efforts I have initiated to provide speedy services to the public with love and joy. The outcome of this will be gaining public recognition for Male’ City Council as a place that provides services with the speed and sincerity the people desire. And the Male’ City Council will become a place where people happily go to access services,” said Male' City Mayor Adam Azim.
The city council said that bringing the nine offices previously spread across different districts of Male’ under one roof will cut costs, speed up the provision of services, and affect transformative administrative changes.
The city council added that construction its new office complex is going ahead at a swift pace, with 60 percent of concrete work now complete.
According to the council, the building will be done next year.
