RCC awarded MVR 39M contract to construct Dhaarul Arqam Waqf building

Rasheed Carpentry and Construction (RCC) has been awarded an MVR 39.4 million project by the Islamic Ministry to construct the Dhaarul Arqam Waqf building.
The agreement was signed on Sunday morning by Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and RCC’s Deputy Managing Director Adam Raheem.
According to the Islamic Ministry, the 12-story Dhaarul Arqam is being built in a 2,000 square feet plot in the Buruzu Magu, in the Henveiru district of Male’ City.

According to the Islamic Ministry, RCC is required to complete the project within 540 days.

The Islamic Ministry expects to generate an annual revenue of MVR 10.8 million through the lease of office space from the building.
According to the Islamic Ministry, 20 percent of the revenue will be channeled to the Maldives Zakat House, and the remaining 80 percent to the Islamic Waqf Fund.
The Islamic Ministry also plans to build a Waqf building in Hulhumale’, and one in Male’ for Quran, also run projects in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, and GA. Vilingili.
