Public Service Media (PSM) Chairperson Aminath Namza is participating in the BRIDGE Media Summit 2025, one of the world’s largest new global gatherings for media, journalism, technology and creative industries.
The Summit, held from 7–11 December at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), brings together more than 60,000 participants, over 430 international speakers, and hundreds of exhibitors and media organisations.
The multi-day Summit focuses on the rapid evolution of global media, with dedicated tracks covering journalism, artificial intelligence, digital storytelling, film production, the creator economy, and newsroom innovation. The event provides a major platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the exploration of future media trends.
During her participation at the Summit, Chairperson Aminath Namza also took part in the official signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU) between PSM and Viory, a global digital media and news-exchange platform. The MOU establishes a collaborative framework aimed at strengthening news exchange, capacity building, and international visibility for Maldivian stories. Viory will provide PSM with free access to high-quality international content, which will be added to the National News Archive, and all Maldivian media outlets will be able to freely access and use this international content.
Speaking on the collaboration, Chairperson Namza emphasised that the partnership is a significant step for international engagement. She highlighted the dual benefits of sharing Maldivian stories abroad and gaining access to global content at no cost.
Chairperson Namza will continue to attend Summit sessions throughout the week, including discussions on newsroom innovation, next‑generation media tools, and the evolving skills required for future journalists.
