Ministry Begins Issuing New Registrations for Gulhifalhu Land Plots

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has commenced issuing new registrations to recipients of land plots from Gulhifalhu. The process began today at 9:30 AM at the Thaisay Building, formerly the Housing Ministry office.
This re-registration process follows changes to Gulhifalhu’s land use plan, which necessitated a new plot lottery. The revised allocations were finalized during a public lottery held on May 30th at Usfasgandu. As a result, previously registered and allocated plots have been modified.
Registrations are being processed strictly by appointment, which must be scheduled through the Hiyaavehi Portal. The portal also provides details of required documentation. Recipients are required to bring their original ID card, along with the previously signed land agreement and original registration. If collected by a representative, a Power of Attorney and the representative’s ID card are also mandatory.
The Ministry emphasized that appointments will be cancelled for individuals arriving more than five minutes late or lacking complete documentation. A new appointment can then be requested. Notifications regarding appointment times and locations are sent via SMS and the Hiyaavehi Portal.
