Maldivians living in China shared some concerns with the President in yesterday's meeting.
One of their worries is the unavailability of Dhivehi and Islam classes for Maldivians living abroad, which makes them unable to apply for government scholarships.
Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer responded, stating that the government has initiated a pilot program of teaching dhivehi and islam to those residing abroad. He said that the implementation of the program would solve the issues raised by the residents.
