Siyam urges nurses against considering leaving from line of service

Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, the parliamentary representative for Dh. Meedhoo constituency president of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), citing nurses as the individuals who deserve the top spot in the line of service, had appealed to nurses against considering leaving their jobs.
Siyam, in an address on the occasion of World Nurses Day, conveyed greetings to all hardworking nurses across the Maldives on behalf of himself and his party.
Siyam stated that if he were to speak about nurses, he would describe them as dedicated service providers who offer an invaluable service to humanity—so much so that society is deeply indebted to them.
In this regard, he detailed that whatever illness a person is presenting, the moment a patient enters the care of a nurse, their care and words of encouragement filled with love and compassion become a “treatment” in itself – offering the courage to overcome the illness.
On such an occasion where the services of such individuals are recognized, Siyam called on nurses to be proud of themselves, citing them as individuals who deserve the top spot in the line of service. As such, he appealed to nurses against considering leaving their jobs.
He expressed confidence that nurses will always continue to be recognized for their work across the globe.
