A tourist was arrested last night at Velana International Airport after bullets were found in his possession.
According to a police media official, the individual was brought before the court and has been remanded in custody for six days pending further investigation.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about the case, as it remains under investigation.
However, reports indicate that the suspect is a Colombian national who had arrived in Maldives as a tourist.
