The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Fair has officially opened in Dubai, with a strong presence from the Maldives. This year’s fair will run from 28 April to 1 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Maldives is participating in the fair as the flagship country this year, with 235 delegates from 110 companies representing the Maldives. Minister of Tourism and Environment Thoriq Ibrahim and Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC)’s Chairperson Ibrahim Shiury and company officials are attending the event.
At the fair’s opening ceremony, Emirates Airline’s Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum visited the Maldivian pavilion, where he was welcomed by Tourism Minister Thorig.
A Maldivian Evening will also be held as part of ATM events, featuring performances by local artists and cultural showcases. This is the first time such an event is being held as part of the ATM fair. The event aims to promote tourism in the Maldives by fostering business-to-business connections.
Several meetings will also be held on the sidelines of the four-day fair, where some agreements are expected to be signed.
