Speaking in answer to a question posed by Haveeru, PG Muthuthaaz said that Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) had investigated the matter and sent the case to PG Office for prosecution some four years ago, but that they hadn’t yet filed the case at court. “It is one of the first cases investigated by CMDA and sent to PG Office at the time. The case wasn’t reviewed and sent to court during Muizzu’s [former PG] term either. It is amongst the many cases that hadn’t been sent to court, for various reasons,” he said. “I am reviewing the case, but haven’t sent it to court yet.”
