President of PIC Fathimath Sareera confirmed to Sun Online that the commission had received the case, and said that a decision will be announced later after investigation.
The accident took place on Sunday night when the motorcycle collided with a car as it raced to flee from police officers.
Police said that the suspects were seen throwing something on the street, which when recovered and checked, turned out to be six small packets of drugs.
Out of the two people involved, one died, and the other is left with broken arms and legs.
