Government has revealed that diologue between parties will begin in July. The party talks is an initiative of the government to bring greater stability and prosperity to Maldives.
Fisheries Minister Dr.Shainee who is taking part in the party talks on behalf of the government said that work is underway to prepare for the talks that will commence in July. He said that U.N will facilitate the dialogue. Dr.Shainee said that the talks will take place once the U.N representative for the talks arrives in Male’.
While the party talks will commence in July، opposition parties have formed a coalition called Maldives United Opposition. Speaking to the press earlier، Ahmed Mahloof the spokesperson of MUO said that they will take part in the talk as one entity rather than as different parties.
