Maldives Zakat House reports the total Zakat collected by the authority on the first 10 days of Ramadan this year increased 81 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
The authority on Monday shared statistics of the total collections it received on the first 10 days of Ramadan since 2021 up to the current year.
Total Zakat collection during this period in 2025 was recorded at MVR 2.91 million, which is an increment of MVR 1.31 million from the MVR 1.60 collected in the same period during last year’s Ramadan.
In the same period of 2023, total Zakat collected stood at MVR 1.39 million while in 2022 the total was MVR 1.09 million. The lowest collection was recorded in 2021 at MVR 977,301.
Zakat House further added that it will continue accepting online Zakat until 06:00hrs of Thursday, next week.
