Tree Top Hospital participated in the "United by Unique" event organised by the Cancer Society on World Cancer Day last Saturday.
Tree Top Hospital's specialist oncologist Dr. Mohamed Amr and consultant ENT Dr. Rajesh Valand took part in the event held to creative more awareness about cancer within the society. Both doctors are experienced doctors in cancer treatment and surgery.
At the event Dr. Rajesh and Dr. Amr shared information on common cancers in the Maldives and how to diagnose the conditions. They also shared information on how patients could shape their lives while undergoing cancer treatment.
Tree Top Hospital said it places special emphasis on health awareness events. They are also working to improve the health of the community, the hospital said.
World Cancer Day is celebrated on February 4 every year.
