The Bank of Maldives (BML) has now resolved the interruptions faced by customers while using BML issued Visa debit and credit cards on some overseas online merchants
The bank notified their customers that Visa debit and credit cards can be used on online websites as before.
An upgrade to enhance the security of the visa cards and payment gateway interrupted the services last month. BML informed the upgrade work has been completed now, resuming the services as normal.
Card security has been tightened amid an increase in major scams stealing BML cards and internet banking information. Such scams have been carried out to steal or siphon large sums of money from people.
