President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is scheduled to visit Dhiggaru accompanied by Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) candidate for Dhiggaru by-election، Farish Maumoon to campaign for the upcoming election.
Reportedly، the visit will be participated by PPM’s deputy leader and Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb and other members of the party.
The visit is made in a time while there are rumors regarding the absence of President Yameen in Farish’s campaign.
Dhiggaru by-election is being contested by  four candidates; PPM candidate Ahmed Farish Maumoon، MDP’s candidate Ahmed Riza، LGA’s deputy president Moosa Naseer Ahmed and Shameem Ali.
The by-election to elect the member for Dhiggaru electorate will be held on June 6th.
