Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Dr. Hussein Rasheed has said that it will be the people who will suffer when the international community takes action against Maldives.
Dr. Hussein Rasheed said that the government should follow the constitution and should respect the international conventions that they have signed. He said that if these agreements are violated then the international community will definitely take action.
“This is regardless whether it is Maldives or not. They will impose sanctions,” he said.
Dr. Hussein said that the people are already suffering and will be unable to cope if the international community imposes these sanctions.
He said that the government should resolve these issues before the international community takes actions against Maldives.
Dr. Hussein said that the people will not remain silent to let the government take the nation into destruction.
